Sessions & Fees
Therapy is an investment of time, energy, and care. Arielle aims to be transparent about fees and structure from the beginning so you can make an informed decision about what kind of support makes sense for you.
Cost Transparency
Arielle believes clients should understand the financial commitment of therapy before beginning. As an out-of-network provider, Arielle discusses fees clearly during the intake process and provides documentation when needed for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Under the No Surprises Act, uninsured and self-pay clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before services begin or upon request. A Good Faith Estimate outlines the anticipated cost of care based on the information available at the time it is created. Because therapy varies by client need, it is not a guarantee of the exact total cost of treatment, but it is meant to help you understand and plan for the financial aspect of care.
Session Types
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes. Depending on your goals and the type of treatment you are doing, you may meet weekly, more intensively, or adjust frequency over time.
Parent Coaching
Parent coaching can range from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the need. Some meetings are brief and focused on a specific situation, while others involve more in-depth support around patterns at home, communication, limits, or skills coaching.
Family Therapy
Family sessions are 60 minutes. These sessions are often used to improve communication, reduce conflict, clarify expectations, and help family members practice new ways of responding to each other.
Trauma-Focused Treatments
For EMDR and DBT-PE, session length and frequency may vary. Trauma-focused work often requires more flexibility than standard weekly therapy, and you will discuss what structure is clinically appropriate before beginning.
Groups
Groups are either 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the group format. DBT skills groups and support groups may have different requirements, commitments, and screening processes.
Fees
Arielle is an out-of-network provider and does not accept insurance directly. Payment is due at the time of service.
For clients with out-of-network benefits, Arielle can provide superbills that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your specific plan, deductible, and benefits. Arielle recommends contacting your insurance provider directly to understand what they may cover.
Questions you may want to ask your insurance company include:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible?
What percentage of each session is reimbursed after my deductible is met?
Do I need pre-authorization?
How do I submit superbills?
Sliding Scale
Access matters to Arielle. While she cannot guarantee a reduced fee for every client, she reserves a limited number of sliding scale spots when possible.
Sliding scale availability depends on current openings, clinical fit, and financial need. If cost is a barrier, you are welcome to ask about whether any reduced-fee spots are available.
Getting Started
Before beginning therapy, you will usually start with an initial consultation or intake process. This gives you a chance to clarify what you are looking for, determine whether Arielle’s approach is a good fit, and identify what level or type of care may be most appropriate.
For DBT skills groups, a full intake assessment is required before joining. This helps determine whether the group is clinically appropriate and whether additional supports, such as individual therapy or comprehensive DBT, are recommended.
Arielle’s goal is for you to understand the structure, expectations, and financial commitment before starting, so there are no surprises once you begin working together.
